Most of them are as it is their work to protect the data not risk loosing it and the one and only way they could clear it worse is if they overwrite your data which they don't do.
The single thing I be worried about be sending my hard drive over beside a courier. I trust the company but not the courier. So you are best to go to a company surrounded by your local area. If it is Manchester/Preston next have a look at these guys
