Are nearby any truly FREE information recovery programs to recover delete files after a system restore is perform?
My friend performed a system restore on her computer & deeply of her important files be lost. She tried a program called "UNDELETE" by Paretologic & it found the lost files, but next wanted her to pay cheque $65 for her to actually restore the lost files. It didn't right to be heard anything about have to pay until that point. I'm hoping here might be some out there that are truly free & if so, which ones?

Photorec is what you want. (Don't worry--it recovers in recent times about every record type, not just photos.)

1) System Restore doesn't delete files, but it uninstalls programs. The simply ways to reinstall the programs is to reverse the system restore (restore to a date after the programs were installed) or install them again.
For recovery of newly about adjectives deleted files, uyse Photorec. It's forensic-strngth software - used by police, management agencies, etc. And it's free. 3 notes: 1) You can solely recover to an external disk (or flash drive), since it doesn't do an in-place recovery. 2) It recovers the files, and the file types, but not the name. You have to look at respectively recovered file to baptize it. 3) It recovers ALL files on the partition. That's probably going to be seriously of recovered files.
Test Disk, the program it comes with, can recover delete partitions. Even if you delete adjectives partitions and form one huge one starting somewhere other than the formation of the disk. Source(s): http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk_…
