Physically tatty Hard Drive Data Recovery Help?

My Mobile Hard Drive suffered a major spill out and refuses to work immediately. It currently makes an awful grinding nouns whenever i turn it on, (so i leave it stale now). Anyone know if there is the slightest unpredictability that any information that I had on the drive can be recovered somehow?
