Disk Data Recovery?
A friend lost many prized pictures when his strong drive failed. The drive quit suddenly fairly than making any noise hinting at a problem. I believe motor or electronics hold failed a bit than a head crash.
MANY choices are found probing for "data recovery service"!
Can someone recommend a demanding company to deal next to?
Answers:
One well agreed and professional company is Ontrack but they're expensive to use but good they'll receive you pictures back, look at here site here http://www.ontrack.com/
Look for a PC repair company in your nouns. Most PC repair shops will have background recovery tools available. Call around and see what they can do.
Data Rescue
Couple of choices to do this one.
Pay a fee for it to recover from the professonial which it is not cheap.
Put the harddrive within the bag within put in the frezeer for an hour and pinch it out and it good for one shot to receive the data out and if it founder.
If you dont want do both then you are screw
No, I enjoy no recommendations, but if I tried everything and have to get the information, I'd probably contact Seagate.
But first, before you travel off the thoughtful end, what symptoms does your friend's ruined drive have? Has he/she tried assigning the drive as a slave and reading the disk that process? Does Windows Explorer recognize the drive? Has he/she tried command row?
Having worked on pcs since they arrived in the 80's, a statement similar to "drive failed" or "quit suddenly" just doesn't really describe what really happen. And your belief that the motor or electronics have one-time is very possible, but I come up with quite unlikely since adjectives the hard drives I've see don't have any loose wires to break. In reality, I've never seen a drive basically die.
I have see drives have their boot sector corrupted where you can't return with it to boot up or even be recognized, but I've be able to salvage the facts.
Good Luck
If the hard drive completely poor, then you will want a company that will install the platters to another hard drive. That will be extremely expensive.
This company will give you a free estimate, and have been around for a while. Make sure you speak about them that the hard drive have completely failed and not in recent times crashed.
