Hi friends...can anyone relate me how facts recovery works surrounded by a formatted tricky disk..?
i am having a doubt in the order of how the data is recovering from a formatted easier said than done disk...can anyone let me know in the region of this.....

Hard drives are huge. To find files faster they use indexes. To make delete files quicker in the untimely DOS days, they would just remove the directory from the index. The core data be still there. Undelete later would go thru and readd the report to the index if it hadn't been over written by something else. If it have, DOS would pop an error saying File can't be undeleted
A format is deeply rebuilding the entire index. So again, the actual data is still on the drive. Recovery software will walk thru and analyze the actual sectors and do from scratch the index to access the data that it finds.
It get more complex when you talk going on for partitions, what rank of format you mean... etc...
