Is within a mode to do system recovery minus losing any of my notes and files on Windows XP?
After a windows update on my computer I cannot run window unless it is in nontoxic mode. Can I use system recovery to restore it to how it was formerly the update? Will I still have adjectives of my files?

System Restore restores the registry files to what they were at an closer date. System Recovery normally (it depends on how the computer factory owner set things up) normally freshly reinstalls the Windows files - it doesn't touch YOUR files. System reinstallation (reinstalling Windows) without formatting will as a rule leave your files intact, but your programs will no longer be installed. With formatting your files are gone, and the computer is resembling it just come from the factory.
It depends. You are going to want to use System Restore and find a date before the window update. If you do have system restore turned on, you should be fine.
At that point find a date prior to the update and restore vertebrae to it.
Now a note: System restore is VERY different from the restore disks from your workstation maker. THAT restore will verbs your data as it puts you hindmost to an original installed copy of window.

Yes you can unininstall the update without going into recovery. Look within your Control Panel under "Add/Remove Programs". Click "show updates" checkbox contained by the upper right. Uninstall the service pack or update if you see it there. You will not lose any information. No worries.
