Computer notes recovery?
My friend's lap top suddenly turned stale out of nowhere and everything she had is very soon deleted. I be the last one that worked next to the lap top so i touch a big guilt . She had some completely important docs within the C: section. Does anyone know how to recover data from C: disk and is it possible after reinstalling the window ?

Maybe it's a heat issue. Laptops won't turn stale on their own unless they overheat. But a simple shutdown would not cause your friend's notes to disappear. Take it to a data recovery place and attain a free diagnostic done. http://www.cbltech.com
Like the person formerly me said, this all depends on if when you reinstalled Windows, if you have the drives reformatted or if you kept the directory system intact. There are programs that you can use to try to rescue your data even if you've formatted your drive but you are gaming with that one. I'll supply you an example in a few lines.
Like the being before me said, ALWAYS rear up important files, even better is a disk dummy of your system, like Norton Ghost does. There may be some freeware that does it but I'm not sure. I never really looked.
Now, near is a program called ACR Data Recovery (others too) that I get my hands on. It's greatly expensive if you don't know anyone with a copy. This program save ALL of my music files off my backup drive.
I made the mistake of departure a second hard drive within my desktop, which happened to be my backup drive, and I didn't remove it up to that time I reinstalled Windows on the c: and I chose the wrong drive and killed adjectives my pictures, music, etc. I lost a lot of principal important pictures of some nearest and dearest and pets who aren't with us anymore even though I be able to rescue my music (oh yay). Unfortunately, it's an iffy situation of whether you find your info back or not. It lately depends on too many factor.

you reinstalled windows? When you did that, did you select to make tracks the current file system intact or did you select to delete and product a new directory? if you did not hand down the files intact, then they are probably overwritten by presently, if not htere are information recovery programs/companies out there that you may know how to retrieve the files, but its expensive and the results are usually not what you want.
Let this be a lesson to you, back up everything previously you start messing around with anyones system, and if you are going to be reinstalling the OS, consequently you should have some sort of external backup of everything explicitly currently on the system before you start.

Look at the folders contained by C:/
1.If only C:/Windows appear your service manufacture has formatted the drive and installed a fresh copy of XP.
2. If the OS be repaired and you find number of folders, the docs folders could be there. ( may be no reinstallation be done)
3. Try recuva from http://www.recuva.com
4. When the laptop turned off, did you try again to start the computer ? I can not infer how the whole laptop be cleaned out ( including OS and hidden files)..
Try SmartUndelete. I enjoy deleted files and reinstalled my computer individual to run this program and end up finding the files that I thought be deleted. It seem that the only style you can truly rid yourself of deleted files is to use a wallet shredder program because the program will rename the file that you delete so there is no point of suggestion. I would download Smartundelete and try and find a serial number for it on the Internet (theserials.com). The software can be used for free for 30 days but you only carry limited usage so you're not competent to save the files once the program finds them until you purchase the software or enter the serial number.
