How do I factory restore my Toshiba Satellite A135-S4677 in need the recovery disk?
My computer was not running properly so I fixed that it was time to use the recovery disk and restore it to resourceful settings. However the disk does not work. It wiped everything stale of my laptop and then doesnt tolerate me reinstall anything so my computer wont even start. (I just took the disk out of the box tonight so I know it be damaged from the factory). Unfortunately my computer is a month long-gone warranty so they want to charge me $35 to talk to someone or to spend $200+ to transport it in and draw from diagnosed + additional levy to fix it. No service centers in my state any and I cant figure out how to carry it to reboot from the startup menu, its not f8 like everyday. please help. thank you
Answers:
Maybe this will reinstall
Place the disk surrounded by the drive
Hold the F12 key down and reboot
When the boot menu appears release the F12 switch
Use the cursor keys to select the cd/dvd drive
follow onscreen instructions and select "Overwrite Installation" using the cursor key to restore the Express Media Player
The System Recovery disk is supposed to wipe your computer clean and put vertebrae whatever be on it when you took it out of the box and turned it on. If this doesn't work, you need to explain this to Toshiba. My Toshiba disk worked fine.
