Can i use my recovery disk for this?

Can i use my Toshiba recovery disk with a Dell
the recovery disk is for a Satellite A130/A135 Windows Vista i would resembling to use it on a Dell Inspiron 531s which has Windows XP
Answers:
It will successfully install Vista, although you might requirement to go out and install some of the drivers for your hardware manually. The recovery disk contains the drivers for the Toshiba PCs hardware and it will plainly lack the drivers needed for the Dell PC.
You could try it -- but I wouldn't. If you send for up Dell's tech support directly, they'll send you one of their recovery disc's free of charge. My friend ordered one awhile pay for, and they got it to him inwardly a couple of days. I can't speak from personal experience since my PC is a custom built rig, but the system that my friend went through seem pretty quick & hassle-free.
