Using recovery disk to restore my Compaq Presario CQ60-211DX Notebook PC?
If i use the recovery disk that came near my laptop will i still have adjectives the programs like Windows Movie Maker, HP Games, Microsoft Word, Office etc... that come with my laptop? Or will i in recent times have the bare bones?
Hi There,
The recovery disk should restore your computer exactly like it be "out of the box".
You should boot from the recovery disk and look at the options that are availiable to you.
You may hold a "Repair" option that reloads the operating system but save all your files and settings.
You may own an "Install" that formats the drive and reinstalls the operating system (you lose all your facts and settings with option)
Any applications you installed yourself will hold to be reinstalled in any case (just resembling you did when it was new).
I would recommend you click <Start> <Help and Support> and investigate for "restore system" and "Changing the boot order" for information that is specific to your computer.
That's what I would first and hope this help you.

If you use the restore disk you will have adjectives the default programs that you purchased the computer next to. So if you added a program like Excel afterwards it wouldn't be on after your restore.
"> Depends. Put the disk in and restart and it should speak what exactly it is going to do and give you the substitute to do it or cancel.
