How do i restore my laptop using a system recovery disk?

ii inserted it and my laptop cant open it, later i restarted my computer and see if that did anything but it didnt. I really need to restore my laptop please support! (adevnt 6301)

When you startup the laptop (with the disk contained by the drive), it should tell you to press a fastidious key for advanced option or similar. Watch carefully - the message will single appear for a few seconds.

The switch varies for different make of computer. Try the F8 key - so keep hold of tapping F8 while it starts up. If that doesn't work, try F7. (The F or function key are usually the top row on the keyboard - sorry if you know this already)

Then depending on the form of computer there should be a chronicle of options, including to repair the system.

The disk you hold is probably just manual and drivers. Usually you should create a recovery DVD as one of the first things you do.
