Where is my Windows XP Home Edition recovery disk?
I have an IBM ThinkCentre and i am worried that someday something will come to pass and I will have to reinstall window. The only problem is that it didn't come beside a recovery disk. Where can I get one?
Answers:
It should enjoy came beside one. Call IBM and demand it. My computer come with a backup drive along next to the backup CDs.
Check you manual to trademark sure the ThinkCentre does not have a unnoticed partition which contains a backup factory install of window. Re-installation is often accumplished by pressing in no doubt function keys to win into a 'hidden' reinstallation menu (this key combination may also flash up on peak early at start-up).
if you bought this from a store (not from another person) next there might be an pick on your computer to make one. But except then you can other call the ibm company. You can find in attendance number on there website or look into it on google. You also might be able to name microsoft and get one. I don't know how much they cost but i regard as they range betweens $15-$25. If you want a free one consequently i suggest you buck up your computer skills or find someone who REALLY knows what nearby doing in computers.
don't you hold an option (when comp. start) to create a recovery cd?
or probably you enjoy "the recovery" in your HD(letter d for example)
If you do not own a one you can buy one from an authorised reseller or you may be able to purchase one from Microsoft themselves. Check their website. Make sure anything you buy is genuine.
nickname ibm and see if you could get them to dispatch you one
