Can recovery disks fix a "failed" intricate drive?
I shut down my new laptop while windows.lattice framework was updating, and ever since after I have be getting a BIOHD-8 error in the diagnostic, the individual thing that will even run
I really reflect its just a window error, I would like to be sure up to that time I put the newly received recovery disks within.

boot the system next to OS cd and select repair option and re install the software and use the barrier manager to repair the partition by changing the directory system
It is a possibility that it is just some impossible sectors that will be vanished unused after reformat. But it really sound close to your hard drive is failing. Good News is...strong drives are relatively cheap. Just make sure that you grasp the same Connector type and you can use the recovery disk on the hot drive (i would disconnect the old drive during the recovery process) Then after window is reinstalled...transfer any documents you can salvage to the up to date drive.
You should never shut your computer down in the middle of an update. Your firm drive may not be bad, but any facts you had save on it up to this point is gone.
Try running the recovery disks, they should repartition, format, and install the Operating System on the hard drive. If it works, afterwards I would say your probably OK, save, you'll have to replace it.
The recovery disks can be used as lots times as you want.
