Sony Vaio Help Please! Recovery Disk...?

Hi, im very desperate right very soon.... i own a VGN-FJ170 B (PCG 7F1L) but recently my unyielding drive went broken... so when i turn on it say no operation system found.... i went to best buy and bought a spanking new HD, and have a *crack windwo xp sp2 disk. i go ahead and install it with the strange hardD. but i think i still entail a recovery disk but unfortunately i lost it a while ago... what should i do? can i download Linux or Unbantu or any other solution?

You can buy a linux disc next to a computer magazine and install it. Then you can download a recovery disc from Sonys technical support site and burn it and consequently install windows again. Laptops shouldn't enjoy
any problems with window activation issues.
