Can i reformat the computer short the recovery disk?
so i'm trying to COMPLETELY reformat it [vista, no partitions, single drive, yada yada] and i can't find the revorvery disk. is in that no light at the running out of the tunnel?

If you happen to hold bought it from a company from Dell and are still under warranty, you can contact them and they will dispatch a new disc
It will depend upon whether or not u enjoy a recovery partition contained by your system. Generally all branded computers enjoy it. In my case I hold HP laptop & I have to press F11 switch before it boots from existing OS. Check out your brand's website; it'll surely be at hand.
