Are the recovery disks that come near XP operating system computers also boot disks?

In case your computer won't boot? Or do you enjoy to make a boot disk separate from that?
Answers:
yes it must be boot disk. Then lone u can do a recovery. If ur unsure, just alter the bios settings & try to boot from recovery cd. u can't damage any files by booting.
If you put it within and restart it usually starts the win xp reinstall correct me if i wrong. Althpugh it depends wich disk u put in
Normally the recovery discs are also boot discs. you put CD1 within your drive and reboot the pc, it will afterwards restore your pc to the state it be when it was bought. If you craft a start up disc, this will boot you to the c: prompt where you can run diagnostic test.
