How do i reformat an acer aspire 3610 that did not come near recovery disk?

I have 4 backup cds that I made near NTI backup but cannot get prompt for reformatting upon restart while pressing F8, fairly it asks me if I want to go to Safe Mode, Safe Mode While Networking, etc.

try rebooting and pressing ALT+F10 - maybe the laptop has Acer's recovery separator still in tact. Its a unnoticed partition containing the system restore.
