you inevitability a copy of windows XP to do this. Stick the XP disk contained by and Boot from CDrom when comp boots up and install.. make sure you own 512mb of ram or more in the past you do this since it be too slow to run right.
Not if the recovery disk is for a different brand of PC.
Example: If the PC is an HP and the disks are from Dell they won't install.
If the disks and PC are compatible, XP should overwrite ME with no requirement to uninstall ME at all.
