Can i use a recovery disk to be exact another computers if my computer is exactly like peas in a pod including the window?

my computer has be having some serious problems.. ive be having pop ups that wont stop continually every 30 sec for olden times week. there some anti virus point.. also my computer has be running EXTREMELY slow..i have Norton, macafee, stopzilla, ive tried the adv or something.. ive tried so plentiful anti spywares and anti viruses and near just out of commission.. so can i use someone else's recovery disks? i have a hp Compaq near windows xp and the other computer is equal except with some upgrades.
