Recovery Disks for Sony Laptops?
Does the recovery disk for a Sony Laptop Re-format the hard drive. As some Hp laptops hold the option to re-format the rock-hard drive. Is this the same beside Sony Vaio Laptops?

They both work in a similar bearing. both have that remedy. There should be a partition on the easier said than done drive (hidden on sony's) that holds the recovery image files, and the cd's will consent to you restore windows, or reformat, which will use the barrier i mentioned.
Make sure the disks are created, and work before upgrading to vista from xp, as if after that you want to go final to xp, it wont let you unless you own the disks. i made this error once.
sony is easier and quicker than HP to restore/format using the disks
yes, it will install the system as new, you can use the disk a short time ago to repair windows or completly reinstall the system to factory settings
