Xp recovery disk?
hey i was wondering if someone could afford me rip of there window xp recovery disk seems as my computer didnt come next to one. my computer is realy slow and needs a fresh start so if some could dispatch me the files to burn to a dvd so i can reinstall windows xp that would be great.

Install it on some laptop and make a bootable floppy. By this floppy u will know how to see your NTFS partitions on your non bootable system.
after preparing the floppy do this:
1) insert this floppy within ur system and boot (Assuming that u have already changed the boot sequence within ur bios to boot from floppy)
2) it will ask u if u want to use it for your personal use only. Type "YES"
Now u r equipped to toggle in ur NTFS drives.
Now i wont be going into details as to how u reinstall XP.
I booted u to ur tricky drives. now its upto you to do the rest.

Call up the PC factory owner and see if they will send you the CDs. They will most plausible contain drivers for your hardware since you will have to reinstall the drivers once you re-install XP.
Otherwise, you won't be getting anyone on here who will simply "send" you a copy of XP.
What brand is your computer? Some major manufacturer like Dell didn't ship recovery disks because the restore disc is contained on a hidden divider of the hard drive- you can win into the restore program by hitting F11 or Ctrl-F11 at bootup. This works fine for cases like yours, but worthless if the intricate drive actually fail and has to be replaced.
If you enjoy a generic system that came next to an operating system, then reasonably the seller must own provided you with the inspired CDs to reinstall from.
i have another concept why dont you just do system restore? or you can free up space by disk verbs up or fragmentation, hope you know how to do that!
