Place the disc within the CD or DVD drive and when the Auto Start porthole pops up close it out. Next go to the Computer Icon on your desktop and double click it that will bring up your drives on your computer. Find the drive that the disc is surrounded by and click on it to bring the files on the disc up. Then go to the toolbar at the top and click delete or erase disc or you can right click on the drive next to the disc in it and click erase disc from near either mode works.
Get a pair of scissors and cut the corner sour the disk and tip it up. All the data will run out the corner :-)
"> Did you engender your own set of recovery disks?
The D drive Recovery partition on HP starts in the region of 90% full. You should never save anything or rear up anything to D drive.
It is easier to perform a system recovery from the recovery separator than from disks.
I f your computer is running fine you might try going to Disk clean up below advanced options and delete adjectives but the most recent restore point.
It probably won't allow you to delete the recovery partition unless you own already made recovery disks, It requires 2 DVD-R to to this.
Ok if you want to delete the recovery partition dance to your Start Menu. All Programs, PC Help and Tools. Open Recovery Manager. Select Advanced Options. On the bottom select Remove Recovery Partition.
Ok you have not made your own disks. Under PC comfort and tools look for Recovery Disk Creation. Like I said you will need 2 DVD-R and they own to be the same type and brand. You can also use CD's but it will require something like 10 CD's all of like peas in a pod type.
You need to preserve these in a protected place in valise you ever want to Recover your computer to the way it be when you bought it. This would help if virus messed up your files and your computer crashes.
I was going to dispatch an e-mail but you don't allow so I'll keep tallying. If you look at the size of your D drive and your C drive you will probably find that D is very small so you will not be in your favour that much space by deleting your recovery divider. I would do it only after making my own disks and lone if it were cause problems. Good Luck.
format the disk and do disk compression
