Can i create a recovery disk surrounded by secure mode?
the hard drive on my knees top no longer works, and I can only run the computer contained by safe mode. I never took the time to create recovery discs. Is it too slow to do this? I'm worried I've lost everything on my computer.

No. I would suggest using the software "Acronis True Image 9" and try to copy the drive before it is to corrupt to do so or formerly it dies completely. Also you could get a tentative HDD install Windows and make sure everything is working. Then bring a external HDD enclosure and install the elderly HDD in the cage and try to retrieve your personal data formerly the disk is dead.
