HP Recovery Disks?

I bought my computer from Rent a Center and it is now rewarded for. I tried to create a set of recovery disks through the installed program, but is says just one set is allowed and that they have already be created. I contacted Rent a Center and they do not have the disks. How can I catch around this so that I can create a set of disks? I would like to own them in an emergency. Thank You contained by advance for your anticipated solutions.
Answers:
With HP, when you create a set of recovery disks, it creates a record, hpcd.sys , in both the C and D drive. If those files exist, you can't form a set of disks. The files are hidden, so first you want to show hidden files. Find the files and rename to hpcd.bak (just within case you have need of them). Now you should be able to manufacture another set. Source(s): open 'my computer'
press [alt] to stretch out the options toolbar surrounded by vista, and select 'tools'
select 'folder options'
select the 'view' tab
Under heading 'hidden files and folders' move the bullet to 'show hidden files and folders'
uncheck 'hide protected operating system files' and click 'yes' to the qualification
click 'apply' then 'ok'
double click the D: (recovery partition)
look for 'HPCD.sys' and right click
select 'rename' and type 'HPCD.bak'
this asked me to confirm the rename 3 times, asked for user sketch control approval, then asked if i really looked-for to rename again. i ok'd all these
Close the fanlight and create the recovery disk as normal.
Doesn't HP's site propose any help? My g/f's laptop have a recovery disk. Good luck! ;-)=
