What will me product recovery disk do?
im buying a new complex drive for my laptop so i made a set of "product recovery discs". do these include the OS and original drivers? im also worried that when i put contained by the new drive my cd drive wont work because nearby wont be a drive, meaning i cant use my recovery disk. please aid.

The CD drive essential functions (reading) comes from the ROM chips on your motherboard, so you don't need anything else. The more sophisticated functions (DVD video, burning, etc,) come from the stuff you'll be loading from the recovery disks. Just be sure that you go into the BIOS program and set the compact disc drive as a boot device prior to the C: drive. If you don't the computer will keep trying to boot from the neglected new rock-hard drive and ignore the disc. One last comment: If the aged hard drive is still around and functioning (you in recent times wanted more storage space) most alien hard drives come near copy software that will copy the entire contents of the old drive to the latest one. If you use your recovery disks, all of your files (music, documents, etc.) will not be in attendance, and any software upgrades you did won't be there any, so cloning the old drive is the better alternative. If you don't have the matured one or it's dead, next recovery is the only channel to go.

I don't surmise so. After you have the latest hard drive contained by your laptop, you should be able to boot-up beside the Recovery Disc in the CD-ROM drive, and it should work for you.
