If i reinstall my OS can i use Recovery disks to win the programs the computer come next to?
From what i understand, when u reinstall an OS, you lose everything but windows-specific programs.
I made recovery disks when i first received my computer, but the computer is contained by such a bad shape i cant seize them to work, so i am completely reinstalling the OS (vista). I only want those few programs that come with my computer. Will i be capable of get those using the recovery disks once vista is reinstalled? The recovery disks be made using gateway's recovery program, and they run normally on another computer (i checked to fashion sure).
Answers:
Unless it is the OEM disk that came near your computer then you will lose the few addon programs. But adjectives Windows specific programs will remain.
If you have the computer posterior up and running, then your recovery disk should reinstall the untested software that was installed.
try start >adjectives programs>recovery manager>recovery manager>advanced options>system recovery
