Can i dividing wall the complex disk of my laptop and use my recovery disc (vista) to install it on one hedge?

i have a hp pavilion laptop (special edition) that runs vista. the unyielding disc is 250 GB. i plan to divide it into 2 partition. can i still use my recovery disc to install it on one barrier? and install windows xp on the other barrier?

No you cannot do recovery disc. To divide your hard drive into 2 fence, you need to delete it first and create 2 divider. Deleting your partition will not allow you to use recovery disk. You can singular reinstall your previous Operating System.
