purloin it to a computer tech they can help you
Hello --
This may not be the answer you want ... and it isn't for everyone!
I have a buddy who got a objectionable on his machine and I couldn't fix it, so we settled to do a complete system re-install. If you don't want to get a MS Windows system for the big bucks, you might look at installing a Linux OS.
We put Ubuntu (latest version) on my friend's computer and he loves it. He wouldn't shift back to MS Windows presently if he could.
Linux is virus resistant and it doesn't need a firewall ... so the computer seem to run faster (in fact it is lately running fewer processes).
Linux is free and it installs terribly easily (just put the boot disk contained by and reboot the computer).
Linux isn't for everyone -- but it is very well brought-up!
Just thinking outloud,
Bill
You don't want this answer, but it is the truth:
This system needs recovery disks to enjoy the operating system reinstalled.
The Dell systems started to be shipped with sign restore (recovery without need media, as long as the factory installed software within the hard drive remains intact) within, if I recall fine, 2004.
However, If you purchased contained by the united states, if you purchased the computer near windows XP, I enjoy good communication for you: We may still be able to distribute you a CD to reinstall window XP AND to assist you to download the required drivers from the Dell website if you contact tech support. If your computer was purchased next to Windows 2000, there it isn't much that Dell can do for you, but otherwise we might be capable of help.
How to contact Dell? Phone: 1-8OO-456-3355, or chat, www.dell.com/chatsupport. You will want your express service code and/or service tag.

If you don't have an operating system to nouns on to it like XP or vista I wouldn't suggest that you do it. You inevitability an operating system bottom line.
You show that green or orange or purple disc that come with your Dell ? (Green for the OS i believe)
Hmm...powerfully if its under warranty, they should be free. Pfft, even if it isnt, Dell should only ship you those......because they only work beside Dells (and youve already bought from them)
And im sure you know somebody that has a Dell....those green discs will work beside any dell. It's something in the bios that know your using the dell discs Source(s): We use all different kind of Dells in our lattice......new and out-of-date. The green OS discs work on any of them. We've got tons of them sittin here.
telephone call dell and buy a set
