How do I do a hard-disk recovery for Windows XP on an eMachine T3120 (No compact disc drive)?
I need to do a full system recovery. My disc drive got tattered months ago. The rest of the computer has be working fine, until...About 3 days ago it seems I get attacked by some kind of virus/trojan/worm. All attempts at removal and repair hold failed. System Restore have NO restore points available. Seems like the individual option moved out is a full recovery, but as I cannot use the CD drive, this is a problem. My eMachine T3120 have PC Angel with the backup D drive, but I don't know exactly how to use it. I hit F11 for system recovery, but next I didn't know what to choose- the complete wipe or the backup option. I enjoy already uploaded everything I care give or take a few onto web storage, so I don't thought too much if I lose stuff. I just want to know: which prospect do I pick? And the little side pictures on the recovery screen look close to they're showing CDs, but maybe it's supposed to be a rugged disk. Is it going to ask me for a CD? I hold been at this entity for over 20 hours. I am exhausted and desperate. ANY help is polite. Thank you all.
"> There is no wy to do a repair install lacking the cd drive. If you don't replace the cd drive you only enjoy the options after you press F11. The complete wipe sounds resembling a complete removal of all notes on your hard drive. A backup will manufacture a copy of your files.
You need a untried cd drive.
