Can I use Windows Recovery disk for latest computer?

I have a Windows Vista PC. Capable hardware but Vista is a hog for some things. My interrogate is, since a different computer came near XP installed and with a recovery disk, can I use that disk to install XP on my Vista PC?
"> Yes, provided that you hold the CD knob. I've done it before. However, if you're installing on a different computer, the recovery compact disc won't have the right drivers. So, you'll hold to download the drivers for all of your hardware from the Internet.

Otherwise, it should work fine.
