Bought Recovery Disks..Now System say "Hard Drive Not Found".. (?)?
My husband runs XP..Everything was fine next "bam.." the computer just re-booted to something similar to a DOS peak.. I ordered the XP Recovery Disks. They came surrounded by today, I inserted, and now it states, "Hard Drive not Found, PC Recovery cannot Continue"!
Now, purely two days ago everything was ultimate..Any ideas what might enjoy happened or ANY thinking about presently what to do? Can a hard drive merely disappear or suddenly become "not found? I suppose I am asking anyone out there if they know how I might recover this system to factory settings?

I guess the IDE/ SATA connector connecting your hard drive are loose or power to HDD isnt functional... embark on the chasis, check out the connections... Remove it and reconnect... If things go fine, you wont entail the recovery disks too...
Usually happens coz of rather jerk to chasis...
Its possible that the drive dropped bad if its not getting enough power similar to it should. I had that occur before and have to reconnect it an it be okay. Maybe the connector needs cleaned but I wouldnt due it if you hold little pc knowdlge.
