Recovery disk will it work on any PC?
My friends PC is a mess. Could I put my recovery disk in to sort his system out. We both hold Vista. He like a fool never made a rec disk
Answers:
It will work as long as the recovery disk isn't a custom one from your own notebook. Just make sure you both have the exact same operating system.
IF both PCs are the same generate and model, and IF the recovery disks are originals from the company, it would work.
If this is recovery disks you created, or if the two PCs are not like peas in a pod type of computer, most likely no. It may run, but if the drivers for the chipset do not meeting up, it would blue screen on boot.
I'm sorry but no. that recovery disk is created for your computer solely, it has adjectives the information needed for it to run, but not the same information as other computers
if you do you could mess it up
although if its one made ofr any computer consequently yes
Consider this recovery dischttp://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vi… Source(s): capt.3249
If he bought his PC new, he should hold got a Recovery disk beside the PC. Assuming your Recovery Disk has a manufacturer's designation on it, it won't work in a different manufacturer's computer. You can't use a Packard Bell recovery disk contained by a Compaq computer for example
