Is XP recovery console equal on Home as Pro disk?

I have a corrupt XP HOME on my workstation, can I use the recovery tools on a PRO disk?

Nope. I've tried and failed on that one myself.

Yes, CHKDSK works along beside FixMBR and FixBoot. However you cannot use the home disc to copy the corrupt files to the Windows Professional installation.
Try running CHKDSK /R within the recovery console. It should lend a hand.
