If you installed a diffrent revision of window on your computer, could you still use the elderly recovery disk?
I have a window xp laptop. I installed windows 98 onto it (Dont Ask) beside an old setup disk I have. I wanted to step back to window xp and I called up the computer company. When I go and get the RECOVERY disk for the original revision of xp, will it work as the setup disk for it?
Answers:
Is this a recovery DISK as in DISKETTE or recovery compact disc as in a Windows XP OEM cd?
I'm not sure you'll capture the whole shebang of XP from a floppy disk, it's probably purely a startup recovery with a couple repair routines.
But if its the disc then you'll own no problems once you go through the steps.
yes,if its for your notebook originally,it will just install xp and seize rid of 98
