Acer Aspire 1640 Recovery Disk?

When I first bought my Acer it asked me to create a recovery/backup disk incase the computer were to go amiss. The problem now is that I cant find the cd I made to restore my computer and the tough drive has be replaced so I dont have the recovery entity. Can anyone tell me if I can close to download a copy of the backup cd online or how I can get one?

well as far as i see the lone way is to distribute it in service and request them to recreate the recovery cds/dvds. There is no link for Windows recovery but you can find recovery for Linux downloads within the Acer website
