Is nearby anyway to install my hp pavilion recovery disk to a compaq motherboard?

I have a hp computer but the motherboaed died. I bought a compaq motherboard. Since hp and compaq are together, I figure I could use my hp pavilion recovery disk, but I can't. It says it's just for hp computers. Is there anyway around it to install it?
Answers:
I disgust to tell you, but ALL OEM software license dies with the PC it be originally installed on.

Microsoft will only refer you to HP & HP will one and only try to sell you a unmarked PC or board.

From Microsoft :

Q: Can I transfer my OEM Operating System license from my out-of-date PC to my new PC?
A: No, you can’t as OEM license is not transferable.

The answer is no. You will need to take a retail copy of windows & install consequently.
