Recovery disk and virus?
I have a toshiba laptop and i hold a pop up virus and i was purely wondering if i put my recovery disks in will it give somebody a lift the virus away or do i have to attain it whipped out

Recovery using a disc brings computer subsidise to factory settings. It erases your files including files that may have be created by the virus.
It is System restore or recovery from a recovery partition that may enjoy been infected also that could still retain remnants of the virus.
Before doing anything, try scan for virus in SAFE mode. Sometimes the pop-up alarm is just a marketing gimmick so that you would buy the AV software self recommended. That kind of pop-up is non-hazardous but very annoying. You could try a system restore to a date previously it appeared.
Using Recovery Disks makes the Infected system files to be recovered. But other files remains like. So you have to find out the location of virus using different serious tools(Task Manager, Registry Editor, ...) & then Proceed.
