Help near system recovery disk?

I am trying to do a standard recovery on my computer with the system recovery dvd that come with my computer. When i insert it into the dvd drive, a folder open and no programs are run. I searched the folder for an executable to run or somthing but in that was nought. I don't think it's running correctly, please give a hand.

I'm running compaq and using a compaq windows xp standard recovery disk.
