I own a a PAckard Bell, and be never told to formulate recovery disks within the event of a HDD damp squib what do I do?

I had to replace my HDD a few months ago, and thr guy put Windows Professional on because the red floppy wouldn't work. After calling Microsoft and Packard Bell they are relating me to buy a new copy or a recovery disk.

I want to know if I get a lend of someones Home edition Disk, could I put it on my new HDD using the existent windows passkey.

This switch has be validated by Windows.

Would I consequently have a real Windows XP OS, from which I can update, and be able to amek recovery disks?
Answers:
Use someone's HOME edition disk near the key that comes on the sticker surrounded by your box.
That'll give you a lawful machine.
...Packard...Bell...?
They still exist?

You own an artifact.

(Sorry, I couldn't help you.)
