"Low Disk Space" contained by my D: (Recovery)?

Hi all,
I lately reinstalled Windows Vista to fix some problems on my computer. Now whenever I try to download something it automatically gets sent to my D: (Recovery). This is problematic because my D: have rapidly jam-packed. For example, when I just tried to download Google Chrome it automatically tried to collect in my D:. A message after popped up saying "Low Disk Space" and proceeded to enlighten me that I was running extremely low in my D:.
What I would similar to to know is how to change it so downloads do not automatically catch sent to my D: Any help would be greatly appreciated and I will be sure to select a best answer!
"> 1) Remove EVERYTHING you downloaded to the recovery drive. You should NEVER write to that drive. (Damage a directory and, if you need to repair Windows, you won't know how to.)

2) Reset your browser (how depends on which browser you use) so it either save to the C drive somewhere or asks you where to free each report. (Edit your question to update us which browser you use. [You shouldn't be using IE, but you can change the download target surrounded by that one too.])
