Bootable folder recovery?
My mother downloaded something bad to her computer. So when it starts, when the window is loading, a blue screen pops up. But she can click f8 for not dangerous mode. I was wondering if in that are any downloadable bootable CD so we can start the computer to that and after see the files on the computer and somehow move them over to the CD or a flash drive.
"> I would suggest starting within safe mode figure out the last piece she downloaded and uninstall it directly from there I've done it back you can still initiate some programs while in locked mode and you can delete files and uninstall them.
BSoDs (Blue Screens of Death) are fixable. Once you fix the BSoD, it is possible to remove the malicious folder and have a working computer again. If you hold the OS disc, you can try booting up to that cd and pressing R at the main peak for the repair console. Once you're at the repair console, just type "fixboot" and "fixmbr". Try booting up regularly. If that doesn't work, try entering into undisruptive mode and using a virus scanner to find and remove the virus.
