Help! 3 hrs of work lost? profile recovery??
i was working on a powerpoint and "saved" it. after i went to email it to my partner, and Xed it out. now i cant find it and apparently it didnt recover. is there some approach to recover this?

"xed it out"? If you "xed it out" it would probably ask you something like "Are you sure"?
Try Recycle Bin.
What the hell does x it out be set to? My guess is you still have the database on your computer, but you don't know where you save it or how to use windows explorer to query for it...
START, RUN, type in explorer.. Now you enjoy to figure out the directory tree.. If you see the c drive click on it, if you dont click on my computer afterwards the c drive.. Click and leave the cdrive highlighted step to SEARCH and put in the first part of the pack of the filename like this ... if the record name is octobershots.jpg.. put contained by
oct*.* and then run or enter. windows will find it. * method all files
There are lots of freewares (softwares) avalaible surrounded by the internet to recover your files like PC File Recovery.. Install any one of them and recover your files.
