Help next to corrupt folder recovery?
i just typed my entire lab report, and later saved it so i could work on it then. when i tried to reopen it, it absolutely would not accessible, no matter what program i tried to unseal it with. my basic writing software is wordperfect 12. is there anything i can do to retrieve it?
p.s. when i tried to break open it on microsoft word it said it may be corrupt.
how on earth do i retrieve this profile?

you've been doing it other?i think near are softwares that can retrieve those for you but i dont know any.sorry
try opening it contained by wordperfect 12.
i came accross your ask and im just curious just about it so i check it out.
First off, you can try a restore.
Reboot to DOS, and at the prompt, type the following:
scanreg/restore
and pick a date prior to the error. Don't pick the oldest date.
Then, stockpile all your work to another folder, as I assume it have a Saved folder in Windows Explorer | Program Files.
Then, you may want to uninstall and reinstall the software, as the record may still become corrupt.
As to preventing this, it may just be a corrupt profile. Programs do this occasionaly, with no physical explantation
