File recovery boot disk?

My Window's registry is corrupt and I am trying to find a boot disk that I can use to access my files. I am not concerned with repairing Windows at this point and solitary want to gain access to my files on the hard drive so that I can copy them to a USB drive. I found a fitting program that is exactly what I am looking for but it costs $80 and I do not want to spend this much for something I am going to use once. The $80 program is call Active(a) Boot Disk located here: http://www.ntfs.com/bootdisk_purchase.htm. Does anyone know where I can take something equivalent for free? Thank you
