How to recover information from External Wolverine USB strong drive that cannot be read?

Brand new 120 GB Wolverine HD overheated while reading CF card next to sensitive .cr2 image files. Unit froze, and immediately data cannot be read. Unit shows 93 GB free on eyeshade. When connected shows up as a drive, but in XP2 shows up as nothing data and "raw". I cannot return section and will use any free, shareware or commercial programs. Or if you can specify instructions that succeed I commit to snail-mailing you a $20 bill. Thanks.
