You inevitability to figure out if it's NTFS or Fat32. Probably the former. There are tons file recovery programs out in attendance. Try PC Inspector. My bf recently recovered an entire complex drive that had become unbootable. He did use other programs too so if you return with stuck give me a shout and I'll find out which ones.
In the meantime of late google/yahoo "flash drive crashed" or "recover flash drive" or something along those lines. And be sure you don't dl any crap by checking the programs on a search engine. Good luck!
You might try it on a different system.
Unfortunately, even though solid state storage tend to be more reliable than hard disks, at hand is no way to recover corrupted background.
Try another system just to be sure.
stifle; file recovery programs similar to those linked here by other users are for unyielding disks. They aren't going to work with flash drives. You cannot recover from solid state drives. BadCopy Pro simply works if the file system is intact and will recover a corrupted folder. Which, when you get down to it, isn't facts recovery at all.
why would you obligation to format it if you already used it?t
thats odd. find a computer where on earth you can insert it and load the files onto the computer, create a copy of the files, format it on your laptop, then reload the files onto the flash and nouns it on your laptop
Most of the answers here are wrong. Danny's advice is correct. Try it on another computer, but it sounds resembling it is corrupted and there is no route to recover the files on a flash drive. Remember you should always backup your flash drives. The technology is not designed for longterm storage.
Try Recuva - it's free

There are other free recovery tools out there so google for them.

Go to cnettv.com and look up recover lost files within the search box the first result should be a video of tom merritt and jason howell doing a video on delete data recovery.
Find a database recovery program. I use BadCopy Pro, which has be successful in recovering unbroken loads of files from various medium, but there are others. The VERY big thing is not to write anything to that disc in the past you attempt a recovery, or you may overwrite the files you want
Works great
