I do not have a disc save with my information facts on it. About 3 days ago something happen to some of my information that I kept on my desktop (like a lot of my pictures I have in database folder) are now gone. At the top of my blind it has a long blue smudge that says ''Pictures'' but nearby is nothing on it & I can not remove it. Try doing a system restore found surrounded by green start button.. bottom left--all programs---accessories--system tools-- system restore...this puts your computer to a date before you have the problem, hopefully your pics will be recovered, choose a date a few days before your problem. Be forgiving it takes a couple minutes, computer reboots and you should be fine. flawless luck.if this doesn't work you may have to pinch it to someone to retrieve the info or by recovery software. It could be a virus infection. Maybe you downloaded something that was infected. Reboot the computer and hold down F8. When the DOS menu comes up, pick Safe Mode near Networking. You may need your user login signature and password (maybe). When fully launched into Safe Mode, download your most up-to-date virus definitions and malware definition. Run complete antivirus and antimalware scans and remove anything that is to say found.

Reboot the computer an see in average desktop if the problem is still there.

If so, afterwards download two free anti-malware utilities and install them:

Superantispyware and A2 Free - Download, install and manually update their definitions table:

http://www.superantispyware.com/

http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/free…

Make sure you update their definitions table AFTER downloading and installing them. These two products are both free and they are GREAT at removing trojan horses and other malware that antivirus cannot remove.

Go back into Safe Mode and run these two software scanners and see if you can remove the infection.

Reboot into regular desktop and see if it get rid of the bug(s).

If the problem still persists, the single thing you can do in a minute is do a SYSTEM RESTORE to the last prearranged good date previously this problem occurred. To do this, grasp back into Safe Mode, shift to Accessories, System Tools, System Restore and then choose RESTORE. A calendar of adjectives your restore points will show up. Pick the last specified good date (I hope you enjoy some very recent restore points!). Realize you will LOOSE everything AFTER the restore point within terms of files and work. Click NEXT and permit the computer restore you to that date.

IF Restore fails, progress back and try a different date to restore to.

If no restore points allow you to be restored, next you are in some bigger trouble! You may hold to wipe the hard disk and reinstall the operating system.
Reboot the workstation, and click F8 as it comes up, so you can go to protected mode. When the safe mode menu comes up, it will make available you an option to reset the laptop to an earlier date. Reset it to up to that time the problem showed up.
First start with: start adjectives programs.
accessories. system tools.
