How do I recover information from MS Outlook on an external complex drive?

My motherboard went out, so I bought a strange mobo, ram, etc, but the thorny drive is still good. Plugged everything contained by, and it won't boot up. I get an error, "System32\drivers\ntfs.sys" is missing or corrupt. I am told that this is something Microsoft does to combat software piracy. That's fine. I've done a fresh install on another drive, and copied adjectives my files over. The only piece I still need to do is capture all my information from Outlook. My end PST backup was surrounded by December, so that's useless. If there be a way to unambiguous Outlook on this drive, and make a backup, adjectives would be fine - any ideas?
Answers:
