Recovering notes from an old-fashioned intricate drive?

My old PC broke but the problem have nothing to do near the 2 hard drives which are sitting surrounded by it right now.

Now I own a new Dell PC.

Could I whip one of the hard drives out of the frail PC, insert it into a cheap External Hard Drive Enclosure, connect it to my new PC via USB, and drag and drop everything from the outdated hard drive onto my hot PC?

What problems might I run into?

Thanks!
"> In addition to other comments, win an enclosure that will fiddle with the type of drive that is within the old system. It is probably an EIDE. If needed, verbs the drive and take it near you to make sure.
Yes you could do what you suggested. You should own no problems. Just make sure you grasp an enclosure beside usb2.0, not 1.1 otherwise you'll be transferring real slow.
