How to append mature HD near background surrounded by XP. Need to recover files,BIOS & device mediator see outmoded HD but disk chief not

Old HDD is corrupted so is not booting even with recovery cd, but without human intervention is OK. I can't format it before retrieving files. I be advised to install spanking new HD and use old HD as slave within desktop. XP Home ed is not seeing it, so when I search for my files I bring no result. Please help
"> Is the frail drive set to be a master or a slave? Make sure it's set to slave or it won't read. If the drive is corrupted, it may be unreadable. Your only source next will be to take it to one of those places that specialize contained by recovery of info off disks. This is a drastically expensive way though, and why it is influential to do regular back-ups of your computer.
If you haven't thrown out the old element you should either attach it as a slave complicated drive on the new part or if you need the information on the drive consider a company I have worked near before.
They are base in New York city , NY call
Sherlock Data Recovery Services.

They have a we site at : www.sherlockdatarecovery.com

I belive you can a moment ago send within the drive to them and they return to you a free USB drive with adjectives the data from your inspired hard drive.
There are other notes recovery services that also may help you but I found most of those to be a rip sour. Only Sherlock was competent to recover the data short first charging me an arm and a leg. You may want to give them a try.

Like I said you can try to make a payment your corrupted drive as a a slave. I don't know if you have NTFS or FAT32 as the filesystem but you should know how to mount it. I do not mean boot it up only recogize it as a slave disk. The disk manufacturer typically have a jumper that wants to be set to enable the frozen drive as a slave disk drive.

Hope that helps!
